AGARTALA, Nov 16 (TIWN): With the aim to woo the voters ahead of the civic polls Left front has began their strategic campaign ahead of the civic polls by extending a so called goody face of the party to the common people.

Ahead of any election chief minister Manik Sarkar and his council of minister gets busy in inauguration of government buildings, roads, bridges, market sheds etc. Similar scenario is repeated again in the ensuing election of Agartala Municipal Corporation, Municipal Councils and Nagar Panchayats. The main objective is to woo the voters of urban areas. All these programmes can be done any time but it is noticed that all inauguration and foundation stone laying ceremony programmes dramatically increases ahead of any elections.

Election to civic bodies slated to be held on December 9 is likely to witness tough fight. Though the ruling party is marching forward, if the internal conflict as a result of declaration of candidates’ list intensifies, it may befall a negative impact on the ruling party.   With the declaration of the candidate’s names for the municipal election no party is leaving any stone unturned to do a clean swift win in the ensuing election.

Although every party has geared up with the campaigning of the party candidates but it seems left front is much ahead with its campaign for the civic polls.

On the one hand where the left front has began the Rally, mass gathering, door to door campaign has began in full swing on the other side Congress is still busy in negotiating with the internal conflict between the party candidates.

However, all eyes are on the ensuing election and upto the voters to whom they would cast their votes.

Besides, it is also mentionable here that the other political parties like BJP and also the Congress has been eyeing for conventions, meetings, mass gathering and others as part of their campaign with their central leaders arriving here at the state.

The last date for making nomination would be on November 19 and the scrutiny will be done on the following day. Last date for the withdrawal of the nomination would be on November 23.

However, the Municipal election will held on December 9 and the counting will be conducted on December 12.
