KAMALPUR, Nov 11 (TIWN): The Kali Puja celebration at Kamalpur Police Station turned a complete chaos as the SDPO turned maniac suddenly around 1-30 am at Tuesday night. And this created resentment among the cops as well as commoners here at Kamalpur.

This year Kamalpur Police station organized their Kali Puja with several social occurrences such as voluntary blood donation, winter-wear donation, felicitation of senior citizen and media persons. The Puja also performed with due regards. But the arrangement got demolished as the SDPO Uttam Banik suddenly turned maniac and behaved quite unnaturally.

According to the police and commoners present there, around 1-30 am when the drums were being beaten during Puja then suddenly SDPO came out of his quarters in a ‘rowdy Rathore’ mood and kicked the drum beater. Then he also kicked another constable. People started to disperse in panic. Then SDPO abused OC Swapan Sengupta using slang language and returned to his governmental den. Then a group of cops marched towards his residence to teach him a lesson. However O.C Swapan Sengupta controlled them and prevented any untoward situation.

This created much resentment among the commoners and cops here against the SDPO here at Kamalpur.
