AGARTALA, Nov 11 (TIWN): Altogether 371 distribution of power is being going on in the current financial year in the ADC area, confirmed officials here on Tuesday.

Reportedly, till now 30 powers tiller has already been distributed. Besides, distribution of 825 spray machines is also going on. Among them 200 machines were already being distributed among the beneficiaries.

Further, 375 pump machines will be distributed among the beneficiaries. Besides, initiatives have been taken to cultivate vegetables of winter season.

It has been mentioned that 750 hector of land will be brought under potato cultivation. Besides, saplings of fruits were planted in 1055.10 hector of land. Many other initiatives has been taken.

Despite of various initiatives taken in the State to cultivate vegetables, the people are hit with the price hike in the vegetables hampering their monthly budget and upset their pockets.  

Despite of several tall claims by the authority till day no sign of decrease in the price of commodities has been observed rather it is increasing day by day.

Few days back, the vigilance team made a visit to the shops and markets of Tulsibati Bazaar, GB Bazaar, Battala market, Kamanchowmuhani fruit shop and others.

However, till day no initiatives have been taken to check the price hike in the market.
