AGARTALA, Nov 10 (TIWN): With an aim to ensure peaceful completion of the Youth Festival, recently a meeting has been organized to discus about the various initiatives taken by the taken by the authority.

With the initiative of the Youth Affairs and Sports (YAS) Department, this year also Youth Festival will be organized from Block level to State level.

According to the official report, it has been decided that all the block level, Nagar Panchayat Level, Municipal Area and the AMC area level Youth Festival has been scheduled to complete by December 20.

However, the District Level Youth Festival has been scheduled to organize on December 21 and 22. Further, the State Level Youth Festival has been schedule to organize on December 23 and 24 at Ambassa under Dhalai District.

During the festival, folk songs, folk dance, Tabla, drama, Manipuri Dance, Bharat Natiyam and many other cultural competitions has been scheduled to hold.

This year the National Youth Festival will be organized on January 12 to 15 of 2016 at Chhattisgarh of Raipur.

The National Youth Festival in India is an annual gathering of youth with various activities including competitive ones.

The festival is being celebrated to mark the birth anniversary of youth icon Swami Vivekananda.

However, it is organized by Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India in collaboration with one of the State Governments. Thus, it is held in a different state each year during National Youth Week, January 12 to 16 every year.
