Prostitution racket: Raid re-conducted at restaurant, Police detained number of CCTV cameras

AGARTALA, Nov 9 (TIWN): In a major attempt, West Police lead by I/O Milan Chandra Datta on Monday detained number of CCTV cameras during a raid re-conducted at Abba Restaurant.

Reportedly, acting on a tip of secret information West Police on Monday re-conducted the raid to detain the CCTV cameras which were installed at the Abba restaurant.

Allegedly the owner of the restaurants has installed the cameras to shoot secret videos of the girls enter into the restaurants.

So far the cameras were bought to the West Police Station. According to the reports of the sources, the police officials will go through the footage and will delete all the illicit footage as a part of privacy measure.

However, two of the accused were sent to juvenile.

The arrested accused were of 16 – 25 year of age, mostly. The drive has been continuing from 1 pm and ended by 3 pm in the afternoon.

West Police on Sunday busted a sex racket arresting 34 accused and the owner of the restaurants from the Adviser Choumuhani. The drive has been lead by West Police SP Bijoy Nag, Additional SP of West Police Station Sarmishta Chakraborty along with other officials.

Reportedly, the Additional SP of West Police Station Sarmishta Chakraborty played an important role during the drive.
