AGARTALA, Nov 9 (TIWN): Despite of the approval of the carrying charge of another consignment of fertilizer through alternative way on June 3, the State Government is yet to take any proper decision on it.

Reportedly, the delay in taking decision has led the State farmers to face acute crises of urea fertiliser. However, severe crises of urea fertilizers hits the stare after the train service has been suspended due to the BG Conversion work progress.

According to the official reports, in the year 2014, Union Ministry of Chemical and Fertilizer have approved additional expenditure that is required to carry the fertilizer from Guwahati by road. So that during the suspension of the train service the money can be utilized to bear the additional expenditure.

However, till day no initiative has been taken by the State Government to meet the need of the fertilizer by the farmers.

Taking advantage of the situation, some traders are carrying out illegal business of fertilizers by collecting hefty amount from the farmers.

However, the farmers are bound to buy the fertilizers with hefty amount but the hefty amount is cutting the pockets of the poor farmers and their daily budget.

Besides, the cultivation is also getting hampered all across the State, sparking strong resentment among the farmers of the state.
