AGARTALA, Nov 9 (TIWN): Bakshanagar Primary Health Centre opened in the year 2013 with an aim to provide health facilities to the residents of the nine gram panchayat has been hit with the negligence of the Doctors.

Around 50, 000 people prefer this primary hospital for treatment as the GB Hospital is far from the area.

Reportedly the hospital is mainly suffering due to lack staff. There are a total of four GD staff, six nurse, one official staff and two doctors including one homeopathic eye doctor and another dentist. Besides, one doctor is Ayurvedic doctor.

However, the Hospitals do not have any night guards. According to the locals, the doctors come and go according their wishes.

Enhancing about an incident it has been mentioned that one a doctor prescribed some test to the patient, after few hours when the patient arrived with the report to the doctor, by that the time the doctor already left the hospital.

The State Government had opened the primary health centre with a purpose to serve the population of the area, but today it has failed to ensure proper services due to staff crunch and negligence of the current staffs including lack of infrastructure.

The huge building which has been constructed after spending lakhs of rupees, failed to win the heart of the common people over the area which lead the population suffer due to lack of proper health service.

The centre was opened with the vision of providing healthcare facilities to the people residing in the area, today running in a pathetic condition giving headache to the people. Most of the time, the patients expects no service from concern the health centre alleged the locals.
