AGARTALA, Nov 4 (TIWN): After the cancellation of flight from London to Delhi due to the delay of the flight from Scotland, Golden Girl of Tripura has been scheduled to arrive on November 5.

According to the report, as per the previous schedule young Indian gymnast Dipa Karmakar along with her coach Bisheshar Nandi was scheduled to arrive at Agartala on November 4. However, due to delay in the flight from Scotland to London due to heavy fog, the arrival programme for has been rescheduled on November 5.

With the cancellation of the arrival on November 4, the programme which was scheduled to organize on Wednesday has been cancelled.

Reportedly, with the change in the earlier programme, it has been decided that after welcoming Dipa Karmakar at the Airport, a rally will be organized which will walk across the VIP road, Swami Vivekananda Ground, Bodhjung Choumuhani, Womens College, Laxmi Narayan Bari and finally will be taken to Rabindra Bhawan.

Dipa Karmakar will be given felicitation at Rabindra Bhawan. During the programme, Chief Minister Manik Sarkar is expected to remain present while Sport Minister along with other members from several sports association is also expected to remain present.

In 2014 Commonwealth Games, Karmakar won bronze medal in the same event, becoming the first Indian woman Gymnast to do so. This August, she also won bronze medal at the Hiroshima Asian Championships.

Remarkably the Golden Girl of Tripura not only got huge success in the recently concluded world event where she became fifth in the final and also was the first women gymnast from the country to compete in the final of the tournament held at Glasgow, Scotland.
