AGARTALA, Nov 3 (TIWN): Residents of Ichabazar under Amtali Police Station demanded action to be taken against the main accused, the wife of the deceased man Joydip Chakraborty MPW Sutapa Naha behind the occurrence of this barbaric incident where a son killed his mother and hanged himself to death to stop the family dispute between his wife and his mother.

Although a suicide note was found where it is mentioned that Joydip Chakraborty has killed his mother as his mother was suffering from incurable diseases and for doing this sin he also hanged himself, but the locals claimed that due to the mental trocher of Joydip’s wife Sutapa naha he killed himself to death and also killed his mother.

Reportedly, a 50-year-old man Joydip Chakraborty allegedly strangled his mother- Jyotshna Chakraborty before hanging himself in his home in Ichabazar under Amtali Police Station. Police said the man left behind a suicide note, in which he said he was depressed as his mother suffered from an incurable disease. His wife returned home and discovered their bodies. Police said she kept ringing the door bell and calling her husband, but he did not respond. “She then peeped through one of the windows and saw her husband hanging from the ceiling fan and the mother-in-law lying on the bed”, Police sources said. Police added the woman raised an alarm and neighbours helped her break down the door. Locals informed the Police of the incident. Police rushed to the spot and took the man and his mother to a nearby hospital where they were declared brought dead.

However, the locals claimed there was a report of huge clash between the mother and the daughter in law and to put an end to the family dispute the son killed his mother and also hanged him to death.
