Minister Manik Dey holds workshop at Pragna Bhawan

AGARTALA, Nov 2 (TIWN): Rural Development (Panchayat) Minister Manik Dey inaugurated the workshop at Pragna Bhawan on Mondayto discuss on the issue of re-organised village and the district, sub-division and block.

The meeting was attended by Minister Manik Dey, Chief Secretary Yashpal Singh, ADC CEM Radha Charan Debbarma, Abishek Singh CEO and others.

The meeting discussed on the status of the entire eight districts, regarding the re-organised village structure including the sub-division and block.

In the meeting it was discussed that under North district, there are several blocks including Jampuihil, Dasda, Laljuri, Kadamtala, Jubarajnagar, Kalacharra, Damcharra and Panisaghar.

In Unakoti district there are four blocks namely, Gaurnagar and Chandipura under kailasahar and Kumarghat and Pecharthal under kumarghat.

Ambassa, Ganganagar, Manu, Chawmanu, Dumburnagar, Rishyabari, Durgachowmuhani, Salema are the eight blocks that comes under the Dhalai district.

Speaking at the meeting the dignitaries also discussed that in Khowai district under Khowai sub-division comes Padmabil, Khowai, and Tulashikhar block and under Teliamura Sub-division comes Mungiakami. Teliamura and kalyanpur block.

In Sadar west under West district there is only one block Dukli and under Jirania sub division comes Jirania, Old Agartala, Mandai, Belbari block and under Mohanpur sub division comes Lefunga, Mohanpur, Hezamara, Bamutia block.

Sipahijala district includes blocks namely Bisalgarh, Charilam, Jampuijala, Boxanagar, Katrhaliua, nalachar, Mohanbhog.

Amparpur Sub-division under Gomati district includes block namely Ompi, Amarpur. Similarly Udaipur subdivision includes blocks namely Kakrabon, killa, matabari, Tepania and Korbook and silachori.

Blocks under South district include Bogafa, Jolaibari, Hrishyamukh, Rajnagar, BC Nagar, Satchand, and Payangbari.

It is to be mentioned here that the entire eight district of the Tripura includes 587 village committee.
