AGARTALA, Nov 2 (TIWN): With an aim to celebrate the Diwali festival peacefully and systematically, lottery coupon for opening of stalls in the temple premises will be distributed from November 4.
The distribution programme of lottery coupon will continue till November 7.
It has been mentioned that every coupon will cost Rs. 30. The tottery programme will be organized on November 8 and will initiate from 10 am in the morning at the VIP room adjacent to the temple.
The selected persons for setting up the stall in the lottery will have to meet the stall distribution committee on November 8 and have to submit the stall fee to the committee.
The stall will be distributed on November 8 and 9.
Different rates have been set as stall fee. Temporary shops like tea, sweets, silver and bronze shops etc. will be charged Rs. 50 per foot. Besides, the fee for the cloth shops, stationary, and others will also cost Rs. 50 per foot. The other land will cost around Rs. 60 per foot.
However, for the bamboo and woods materials shops the fee has been decided Rs. 40 per foot.
Apart from this, every commercial poster, festoon will be charged Rs. 250
Besides, for all the departments who are going to install exhibition stalls in the temple premises the decide charge is Rs. 5, 000.
It is to be mentioned here that Information and Cultural Affairs Minister Bhanu Lal Saha is expected to inaugurate the celebration.
According to the official report, Tourism Minister Ratan Bhowmik, Rural Development Minister Naresh Jamatia, TTAADC (Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council) Chief Executive Member (CEM) Radhacharan Debbarma, ADC Executive Member Joy Bahadur Jamatia, District Sabadhipati Suniti Saha, District Magistrate Sonal Goel and Local MLA Madhab Saha is expected to remain present.
Decoration is going on in full-fledged manner at the temple premises. With the aim to make the festival successful, Diwali Mela committee was formed recently. MLA Madhab Saha has been elected as Chairman of the Diwali celebration committee.
A large number of devotees are expected to gather in the temple premises across the country to celebrate the festival and to worship goddess Kali.
