AGARTALA, Oct 29 (TIWN): In yet another shocking incident of crime against children, a Seven-year old School girl has been raped in West Tripura near Capital City Agartala, triggering violent protests by the locals.

The incident happened on Laxmi Puja  evening at Chelagang in Kapram village area of Ranirbazar  of West Tripura. The accused namely Subal Debbarma(29) has been arrested. According to source Subal Debbarma married two times and he had his family behind .

Police said that the accused confessed that he raped the girl. The rape of the girl triggered massive protests in the area. Scores of locals gathered at the victim's house and at Ranir Bazar police station to protest the brutal crime. A case(341, 376 (2) (2) IPC 6 ) had been registered by the family of the innocent girl .
