‘Tripraland State Party’ formed by breakway group of IPFT

AGARTALA, Oct 27 (TIWN) : A break way group of IPFT has formed another tribal based political party was formed demanding separate state out of TTAADC. The name of the newly formed party is “ Tripraland State Party”. The new party was formed by some erstwhile leaders of IPFT. Former TCS officer Chittaranjan Debbarma, was appointed as party president. In TTAADC election he contested as IPFT candidate. The general secretary of the party is Gurupad Debbarma.

The newly appointed party president said  their objective is to press demand of carving out a separate state from TTAADC with support from all section of people including non – tribals.

The new party is having 100 central committee members and 37 member working committee. Besides Chittranjan  as party president there are two vice presidents – Sonacharan Debbarma and Khusi Jamatia. The four general secretaries are – Manu Tripura, Prabhat Debbarma, Madhuy Jamatia and Biresh Debbarma.  Besides eight district committees was also constituted.

Party leaders  speaking about the formation of new party from IPFT, they stated the party has derailed from the ideals, activities of some leaders  was against the idea of separate state.

The leaders claimed that no political party leaders are interested in developing the indigenous people of the state. They are only vote banks of the those parties.

On the other hand IPFT vice president  Buddhu Debbarma is giving less improtanc e to the new party. He claimed that it is the handiwork of ruling CPI(M) party to  break the unity of IPFT which have already gained enough support in the state politics.
