AGARTALA, Oct 25 (TIWN): Indian artistic gymnast Dipa Karmakar reached final in international gymnastics, the SECC Hydro in Glasgow.
The Golden girls of Tripura scored a 15.100 on her first jump with 8.1000 for her execution. This particular vault is the championship was the best one.
It was her Vault 2 where the highly talked of Indian gymnast had changed her routine going for the Tsukahara 720 turns, with an aim to increase her overall scores. On a difficulty of 6.000, Dipa scored 8.700 to finish with 14.700.
After winning individual events in the National Games five consecutive times between 2010 and 2014, including five gold medals at the Ranchi National Games in 2011 at the age of just 17, Dipa scripted a new success story at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games by winning bronze in the vault individual competition.
This time the Golden girl of Tripura has reached the final in international gymnastics.
