Restless riders creates hurdle in smooth convenience during Durga Puja

AGARTALA, Oct 23 (TIWN): Despite of strict traffic arrangements during the auspicious celebration of Durga puja, people had to face difficulty in the smooth convenience due to running of paddling rickshaw and battery rickshaw.

Though during these four days, private vehicles or public transport vehicles were not allowed on main road between 6 pm and 12 am, there were some rickshaws which managed to enter the no-entry zone and created problem.

Reportedly, this year no untoward incident has been reported and till day the Durga Puja celebration has observed peacefully. No accidents has occurred or any incident due to over dose of liquor.

However, during the Puja roundup the people had to face problem after the no-entry has opened. The bike riders and the vehicle riders have made the road clumsy and it has become hard for the people to move.

People where starts to visit the Puja Pandals from the day of Sashthi, huge crowed has been observed from the day of Panchami.

Most of the pandals were inaugurated on the day of Panchami. As there was no rain, people thronged in to the major pandals to see the idol of Goddess Durga.

Witnessing the hue crowd in the capital, Traffic personals have put up no entry in various crowded areas from the day of Chaturthi. Though the official date notified for the no-entry was from October 20 to 23. Besides, all types of Bus, Jeep and other heavy vehicles were urged to move through the mentioned terminal point from evening 6pm to morning 5 am.
