AGARTALA, Oct 19 (TIWN): With the city gearing up for five days of Durga Pujas from October 19, the blueprint for traffic arrangement during Durga Puja has been prepared and will be implemented from October 20 to 23.During these four days, private vehicles or public transport vehicles will not be allowed on main Road between 6 pm and 12 am. According to the notification, the no entry zones are from Rajbhawan to Buddha Mandir via North Gate, from Bodhjung Choumuhani to Haradhan Sangha via North Gate, from, Bidurkarta Choumuhani to Haradhan Sangha via Cornel Choumuhani.Some more areas which are mentioned are from Bhagaban Thakur Choumuhani to Ganaraj Choumuhani via Lalbahadur, from the west zone of Central Jail to Power House crossing via Lalbahadur, from the crossing of Rabindra Bhawan to Bidurkarta, from Asram Choumuhani to Kalyani. Surjya Choumuhani – Kaman Choumuhani – Bank Choumuhani – Jackson Gate, Narayan Mechanical – Kasaripatti via Motorstand, Motorstand – Chittaranjan road via Ramthakur Sangha are also included in the no entry zone list.During the Puja celebration all types of Bus, Jeep and other heavy vehicles were urged to move through the mentioned terminal point from evening 6pm to morning 5 am.

  Between 6 pm and 12 am, no entry will be initiated from Gandhighat to MBB club via Netaji Subash road, from Post Office Choumuhani (South) to Netaji Choumuhani, from Gandhi school to Mathchoumuhani - Purbasha via Modern Club, Fire service – Ker Choumuhani – Sankar Choumuhani – Durga Choumunahi, Bijoy Kumar Choumuhani – Chatra Sangha Trijunction to Durga Choumuhani.Lake Choumuhani to Radhanagar Sangha, Advisers Choumuhani to Cornel Choumuhani, Nagerjala Traffic post to Batala, Battala to Dashamighat and Ramthakur Sagha to Netaji Choumuhani via Grandus Club also comes under no entry.

The areas are- A. D Nagar Industrial Area, ISBT area of Chandrapur, North side Durga Choumuhani Bridge, adjacent ground area of G. B Cancer Hospital, South side of the hanging Bridge of Granduce Choumuhani, MBB collage area, Pandit Nehru office area, Akhaura Road.

Besides, there will arrangements of one way traffic from 12 am in the mid night to 5 am in the morning. The one way traffic includes- Raj Bhawan – Malanchanibas – Ujjan Agartala – Shachin Setu, GB – Kumaritilla – Ujjan Abhaynagar – Shachin Setu, Haradhan Sangha – Lake Choumuhani – Traffic Point – Bhuturiya, Anandamaye Asram- Town Hall- North Gate- Haradhan Sangha, Fire Service – Ker Choumuhani – Sankar Choumuhani – Durga Choumuhani – Rabindra Setu – Barjala, Gandhi School – Mathchoumuhani – Bank Choumuhani, Bhagaban Thakur Choumuhani – Bodhjung School Choumuhani – Women’s College, Kaman Choumuhani – Golbazaar – MBB Cub – CR Road – Motorstand.

Many drop gates will be made across the city to prevent entry of vehicles near puja pandals. Special arrangements will also be made for parking private vehicles during the rush hours. There are 9 parking zones in the Northern area, Central part of the capital has 12 parking zone, East part has 5 parking zone and South and West part of the capital has 10 parking zone.

However, emergency roads are also identified for the smooth convenience during the emergency hour.

Describing about the puja celebration is has been mentioned that huge number of police and TSR are being deployed to maintain peace in the State. Besides, to ensure proper security and to keep strict vigilance across the State the police personals will be deployed in plain clothes.

Massive search operation is also continuing across the state in all public places, motor-vehicles, hotels, restaurants, busy market places with bomb and dog squads.

However, amid inclement weather, puja organizers seem a little bit upset but still continuing with their work in full fledges to meet the deadline.

The state has always been witnessing theme based puja pandals, this year also the Puja organizer of Bharat Ratna are busy to depict the holy place Vashno Devi and many others are busy to bring up with a social message to the people.
