KAMALPUR, Oct 17, (TIWN): The beneficiaries who have been selected and received the ‘NFSA Priority group’ seal in their family ration cards are deprived of food materials as the fair price shop dealer declined to give them the items. And on the contrary, two families who earned their livelihood as Nagaland government’s employee and who used to visit the village during votes, got selected for the priority list.

Such an inhuman and shameless work of party raj was revealed at Mechuria panchayat under Salema R. D. Block at kamalpur sub-division. According to the villagers, the selection of beneficiaries under NFSA priority group was done completely according to party identity. In this selection, two villagers who still remained with the Congress namely Gourmohan Sinha (ration card no. 1151, RoR no.-148) and Mohanta Das (ration card no. 1116, RoR no. 185) got selected for NFSA priority group. But when they went to the Mechuria fair price shop for their materials under the group, the ration dealer summarily rejected them saying that, the Panchayat not provided their names as beneficiaries. And later the panchayat authority also expressed inability to include their names in the list of fair price shops. Then the duo knocked the SDC (Food) this morning and he explained his inability to look into the matter. He also showed them the way to knock the SDM.

Meanwhile it got revealed that, two Nagaland government’s employees’ family who basically hailed from here and visited the village during votes got selected under the NFSA Priority list. In the serial number 236 and 238 respectively the names of Madhumala Sinha and Jyotsna Sinha got listed whose husbands Bimal Singha and Ranjit Sinha respectively got employed as drivers under Nagaland government.  What seemed more astonishing that, the dedicated administration even lost their minimum gesture to put a stop against the wrongdoings.
