AGARTALA, Oct 15 (TIWN): Altogether 1183 students were provided with Sadar Sub-divisional Level Tribal Students Merit Award on Thursday at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhawan.
The programme of Sadar Sub-Division Level Merit award among the meritorious Tribal students under Sadar Sub-division has been inaugurated by MP Jitendra Choudhury, in the presence of Rural Development Minister Naresh Chandra Jamatia, Chief Executive Member (CEM) of TTAADC Radhacharan Debbarma and others.
A total of 142 students of class VI have received Rs. 65, 600, girls were awarded with Rs. 500 each and boys with Rs. 400 whereas altogether Rs. 96, 700 were awarded among 171 students of 7th standard.
An amount of Rs. 1, 14, 700 has been awarded to 174 students of 8th standard. Here, the girl child has received Rs. 700 each and the boys have received Rs. 600 each.
Besides, Rs. 10, 1, 100 were awarded among 133 students of Class IX and 116 boys of Madhyamik has received Rs. 1400 each and 89 girls student has received Rs. 1500 each.
Similarly, 29 boys of 11th standard have received Rs. 1400 and 73 girls have awarded with Rs. 1500 each.
A total of 77 boys have received Rs. 3500 each and Rs. 4000 has been awarded to 94 girls each of 12th standard.
However, Dasarath Memorial Merit Award of Rs. 5000 has been distributed among 34 boys and 20 girls. Besides, an amount of Rs. 10, 000 has been distributed among each of the 31 students under Dasarath Deb Memorial Merit Award.
During the programme, District Magistrate Dr. Milind Ramteke, Vice-Chairman of Sadar Sub-Divisional S.T Boarding House Committee Salil Debbarma, Secretary of Tribal Welfare Department L. H Darlong and others were present.
