AGARTALA, Oct 12 (TIWN): Tripura will export its access power to Myanmar. CMD of ONGC-Tripura Power Company limited Satyajit Ganguly informed this to the media persons. When his attention was drawn to the export of power to Bangladesh, a visibly delighted Ganguly informed this to the reporters. He said talks are on between India and Myanmar and the matter will soon get final shape. A bilateral agreement will be signed between two countries and hopefully OTPC will start exporting power to the neibouring country from next month. Regarding the rates and the quantum of power to be export to Myanmar he said these are now under discussion. He said once export of power starts, it will continue at least for 10 to 25 years till the agreement is renewed. He said soon Bangladesh will get 100 MW power from OTPC plant. Referring the regular fluctuation of power production in OTPC Palatana plant he said all the shortcomings will be resolved soon. He informed two new Gas reserve blocks have been discovered by ONGC which certainly end the Gas so called gas scarcity. Apart from tall promises by OTPC officials and Tripura's mighty scam tainted 'Chief Minister',two inaugurations of both Palatna units by President Pranab and Prime Minister Modi, nothing much changed in fate of Tripura people other than frequent load-sheddings and misery.
