AGARTALA, Oct 1 (TIWN): Professor Satyedeo Poddar, Dean (faculty of Arts and commerce) Tripura University inaugurated that RBI quiz competition at Sukanta Academy on Thursday.
With the aim to provide a platform to the peoples including youths and students for knowledge and information sharing intellectual stimulation as also for constrictive entertainment, RBI has organized this competition, said professor Poddar.
Speaking at the program, GM and O-i-C, N.P.Topno said that RBI has taken this initiative to create an awareness and interest about the history and role of the Reserve Bank, about banking and finance, other banking institutions, economics, current affairs, personalities and events that have contributed to the growth and progress of India over the years.
He also said that to build a ‘connect’ between the Reserve Bank and the young community enrolled across the country and to dissemination financial literacy extensively; and to recognize and encourage bright young students on a national platform, RBI has conducted this quiz.
The quiz thus, consist of questions on the Reserve Bank, Indian banking history, banking, accounting, finance, trade and commerce, India’s economy, economics, common business terms, India’s achievements over the last 77 years (since the inception of the Reserve Bank) as also, some general knowledge and current affairs. The question format was designed in an interesting manner so as to keep the participants and audience engaged and to make them keen to learn more about the subjects covered.
