AGARTALA, Sep 30 (TIWN): Altogether 23.5 hector of land were brought under mixed breeds of bamboo under MGNREGA at Gopinagar Gram Pachayat under Bishalgarh Block.
A total of 29, 375 mixed breads of bamboo saplings were planted. Altogether Rs. 9, 682 man days were generated for this work and Rs. 24.69 Lakhs has been allocated.
Reportedly, work is going on in five hector of hilly areas of North Gram Panchayat for the plantation of mixed breeds of bamboo garden with the help of Central Forest Development Agency. At the area, altogether 5, 555 bamboo saplings are planted.
Altogether Rs. 41, 229 funds were allocated for this work and 264 labour days were generated.
According to the report, under MGNREGA a total of 532 saplings were planted on both the side of one kilometre of road from Bishalgarh to Golaghati. Besides, 1, 392 saplings were planted on 6 kilometre of road Sekerkot Tapoban Asram to Champamura Market.
However, Rs. 24.40 Lakh has been spent for this work.
