AGARTALA, September 30 (TIWN): In order to ensure better electricity facility in the area, a power substation will be constructed at Kamalghat Santipara, confirmed an official here on Wednesday.

It has been mentioned that altogether 6, 500 families of nine blocks under West District will be provided power supply under Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojana.

Besides, expansion work of two lines of 11 KV is in progress at Amtali. However, for the expansion of LT line electricity in the one kilometre area of Badharghat, altogether Rs. 2 Lakh has been sanctioned.

It is worthy to mention that just before the Puja celebration the concern authority has taken initiatives to improve the communication system by constructing new roads and renovating the other roads for better and smooth convenience.

Besides, the authority has taken the burden to put their keen eyes on the families who were deprived from the electricity supply for prolonged days.

Reportedly, a target has been taken for carpeting over 18.09 kilometre of road under Mohonpur Sub-division. However, carpeting has been already done on 13.50 kilometre of road.

Altogether 700 – 800 kilometre road will be constructed at the area adjacent to TIT. According to the reports, in the current financial year among 23 kilometre of road altogether 15 kilometre of process of road has been completed.
