AGARTALA, Sep 29 (TIWN):The High Court of Tripura on Monday issued notice to one of the prime accused CPIM leader Tapas Datta in connection with the attack on a Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate- Sourabh Saha in Sabroom was asked to file his reply within two weeks.Police have failed to arrest the prime accused even after 23 days after the incident. Recently, Tapas and two of his political associates- Babul Debnath and Trilokeshwar Sinha, who have not been arrested by police yet, moved the High Court seeking anticipatory bail. The hearing was taken place before the court of Chief Justice Deepak Gupta who took a suo moto cognizance of the incident in Sabroom and Belonia in which two judicial magistrates were attacked by bandh picketers. Chief Justice took a strong exception to the statements made by the bail applicants saying that Tripura Judicial Employees Association is anti-CPIM. If the derogatory remarks against the judiciary proved than Tapas have to face six month jail term. Earlier, the High Court refused to grant interim bail to Datta and two of his party companions. Chief Justice Deepak Gupta was of the view that interim bail of the applicant cannot be granted as the plea has procedural defect. Instead, Chief Justice allowed the petitioner to file a fresh petition for the same.

On September 02 last, Saha, an SDJM of Sabroom was attacked and his office was vandalized when he went to attend court proceedings during a bandh call.

He entered into the toilet to save himself from the rowdy picketers. Two FIRs were filed against several hoodlums. But, Police acting ostensibly on political pressure could not arrest the top brasses. The CPI-M backed goons and picketers broke the window panes and resorted to brick batting. Notably, the incident was brought to the notice of the Supreme Court.

Tripura CM successfully converted the state as most lawlesness, CPI-M goons doesn't even care to attack judiciary and Courts in broad daylight.

CPI-M appointed all District SPs and TSR Commandants from CPI-M cadre families, also Tripura Police headed by the most corrupt IPS officer K.Nagraj who was chargsheeted by CPI in 2007 for corruption and still under trial.
