UDAIPUR, Sep 29 (TIWN): Sale tax dept seized 3 trucks of goods which were carrying towards Udaipur illegally.
According to the Sale tax department the goods were illegal as the owners without paying their taxes were carrying goods, which is to be given to the department as per the rule of the tax system of India.
3 transport centres have been found accused of this illegal transporting of goods. Sarada Transport, Jiban Transport, Kalimata Transport.
Mridul Pal is the owner of Sarada Transport, Pradip Das the owner of Jiban transport and Bikash Saha owns kalamata Transport.
The transports were coming to Udaipur from Agartala.
Samir Pal, Udaipur Sale tax dept.’s superintendant checked the trucks and when the drivers were unable to show cash memos, then the goods had been seized.
Now as penalty 3 percent more taxes will have to be given, said Samir Pal.
Renowned businessmen of Udaipur city as Biswajit Majumder, Amar Saha, Swapan Saha, Arobibda Sarkar etc. has been found involve in this illegal activity. Locals alleged that they are in this business since many years.
