Petrol crisis hits Kailashahar

KAILASHAHAR, September 24 (TIWN): Alongwith various parts of the state Petrol crisis has hit the town Kailashahar too.

Reportedly, public of Kailashahar town, since long back are suffering from petrol crisis. However, petrol shortage seems  ended just before few days back but after providing petrol for 2-3 days, petrol crisis again has been started at Kailashahar, as a result of which resentment has been brewing among the public of Kailashahar.

According to the reports due to NH-44’s pathetic condition transport movement has been interrupted badly due to which from other states, petrol is not coming.

However earlier talking to Transport Secretary Samarjit Bhowmik, Mr Bhowmik said that “every petrol pumps have their own stocks of petrol, where at least 25 kl petrol can be stocked”. But it is not only in Kailashahar but in all places petrol pump workers are giving the excuse of shortage of petrol due to NH-44’s deplorable condition, whether in black market Petrol is availble.

Presently there are 2 petrol pumps at Kailashahar which drivers can use. But suddenly with the NH-44’s issue both of the petrol pumps displayed with “empty” pertol sign.

In any case when petrol stock is coming, maximum 2-3 liter of petrol are being rationed to the customers.

The matter has taken to the SDM also, demanding to control petrol crisis at Kailashahar Subdivision.
