KAMALPUR, Sept 23 (TIWN): In a sensational verdict, the ADJ Court of Kamalpur announced capital punishment for two accused namely Rohida Tripura (30) and John Tripura (28) of Deshraibari of Raisyabari. The exemplary verdict hoped to be an instance for the culprits in future.

According to the case history, the 11 years old daughter and two years old son of Demsingh Tripura went to the house of Rohida to watch television on 7th February, 2014.

After a while as the electricity went off, the minor boy went off to house leaving his daughter. On that day as the daughter not returned home, Demsingh along with some neighbours launched a search operation. Getting the information, police of Raisyabari police station also came forward to search the girl but in vain.

Next morning the corpse of the daughter got found in a valley by Rohida and John. After post mortem police became sure about the rape and murder. Booking 03/2014 number case under 376 and 302 sections of IPC police started investigation. S.I. Chutan Tripura, ASP Kishore Debbarma and SDPO Gamanjoy Reang conducted the investigation and nabbed Rohida and John. After the witness, the Court of ADJ declared Rohida and John as guilty on 21st September last. And the Judge Arindam Pal announced capital punishment for the duo here today.
Additional Public Prosecutor Tamal Barman conducted the case in favour of the victim and government.
