AGARTALA, September 23 (TIWN): On the occasion of 68th Foundation Day, Education Minister Tapan Chakraborty on Wednesdayinaugurated a one storey newly constructed building at Pragati Vidyabhaban.

Speaking at the programme, Minister Tapan Chakraborty urged the teachers to perform their duty with dedication. Besides, Minister Chakraborty side that education play an essential role in developing our skills. Therefore, Education is the tool to develop the state economically, socially. Getting a good education is the key to growth and teacher plays an essential role for providing good education.

Reportedly, the newly constructed building has been constructed by the Tripura Housing Board by spending Rs. 4 crore.

It has been mentioned that the one storey building has 20 rooms and till day the first phase of the construction has been completed. The construction work was going on for last 2 years.

Besides, Annual prize giving Ceremony, Parents – Teachers meeting was also organized on this occasion and various cultural programme has been organized.

During the programme, MLA Ratan Das, Agartala Municipal Corporation Counsellor Fulan Bhattacharjee, other dignitaries, teachers and students were also present.
