KAMALPUR, Sept 23 (TIWN): At a time when unemployment and economical backwardness often hovered a gloomy horizon over the youths of the state a group of youths with a heart full of dreams and determination wrote a completely different plot with a bit of administrative help.

13 youths of Naithok Khumber Bodol of Ambassa flowered a new life of dignity and reliance with the art of making artificial flowers. The youths who once strived for every single paisa now became capable enough to earn 8, 000 to 10, 000 rupees per month. And this story of transformation and scaling the horizon became possible after the authority of IGDC came forward to help them with their hopes and aspirations. The youths of tribal community from in and around Ambassa once passed their hours in leisurely practices and weaving dreams. They often dreamt of having a life full of dignity and economical affluence. But the key to the dream world was unknown to them. Even they could not think of anything new. They knocked the banks and departments with the hope of adopting some traditional projects like piggery, gottery, rubber plantation, mulberry production or the like. But the red-tapism and party-raj produced them nothing but hopelessness. They then knocked the banks with some innovative projects. Still success and happiness remained away from them.

Then quite co-incidentally, they met the officials of Indo-German Development Corporation at Ambassa. The youths discussed their plights and also informed the officials of their skill of making artificial flowers. The authority grabbed the opportunity and trained them. The IGDC authority also helped them financially and with materials. All these resulted the youths with a sure monthly income of at least 8, 000 to 10, 000 rupees per month. The youths of Naithok Khumber Bodol now planned to enlarge their business throughout the district and ensure a larger income.
