AGARTALA, September 22 (TIWN): Thousands of supporters of Tripura Pradesh Youth Congress on Tuesday staged civil disobedience movement against the misrule of Left Front government at IGM Choumuhani.The supporters were led by All India Youth Congress President Amrinder Singh Raja and Filmstar and MP Raj Babbar also joined the movement, Tripura Pradesh Youth Congress president Sushanta Choudhury, Congress State president Birajit Sinha and opposition leader Sudip Roy Barman assembled at Vivekananda Stadium and staged a rally in the city at IGM Choumuhani.The protest was so intense that the police had to use the water gun to stop the agitated supporters from massive protest.Besides, Police, Tripura State Rifle Jawans and Traffics were on duty to control the protest from morning itself.The traffic system was kept in control from the morning itself, police along with the traffic kept a strict vigilance for convenience movement.Raising voice against the growing cases of molestation and rape on the women and to start the National Food Security Law neutrally, the Tripura Pradesh Youth Congress committee has organized the civil disobedience movement.

Besides, TPYC also demanded set CBI investigation in all the blocks against the various corruptions.

Speaking during the protest at IGM Choumuhani, All India Youth Congress President Amrinder Singh Raja criticised the BJP led Central Government and said that BJP has promised to bring change but till day could able to fulfill any promises.

Irrespective of one day road show staged by Congress, CPI-M Politburo members like Sitaram Yechury to Manik Sarkar maintains extremely close personal friendships  from Sonia Gandhi to State Congress leaders.

The supporters broke the two barricades at the IGM Choumuhani. Despite of number of police patrolling and guarding the barricades, the supporter managed to break it and continued their protest.

At around 10:30 am in the morning, All India Youth Congress President Amrinder Singh Raja and MP Raj Babbar were welcomed to Agartala from airport through a bike rally.

Later on, they assembled at the Vivekananda Stadium and from there a rally has been organized to IGM Choumuhani.

Tripura Pradesh Youth Congress has scheduled the movement as part of agitation to protest against the Left Front government's failure to provide employment, nepotism, rise of crime and atrocities against women in the state.

Many political analysts opine that just one day roadshow in capital Agartala will not do any good for State Congress's decaying popularity as Congress need to start mass movement from grassroot level   across Tripura villages, hills.

Also getting some celebrities like Flimstar Raj Babbar maynot fetch the political mileage as people want to see good leadership by Congress as opposition from every village, towns across Tripura.
