AGARTALA, September 22 (TIWN): Keeping eye on the upcoming celebration of Durga Puja, Tripura State Government has decided to the pay salary of October month on September 23.

Therefore, the State Government and undertaking employees and pensioners will receive their salary seven day before the end of the month.

As per the rules of the central treasury, the salaries and pensions are generally paid on the first of every month. Therefore, it is to be mentioned here that this time instead of getting the salary on October, the employees as well as the pensioners will be getting the salary on September 23.

So that people could gladly celebrate the auspicious occasion of Eid that is on September 25 and Durga Puja in the month of October.

Meanwhile, finance department has informed that this year Rs 700 will be given as festival grant. The festival advance are as follows – Group A Rs. 5000, Group B – Rs. 4500, Group C – Rs. 4000, Group C ( fixed pay) – Rs. 4000,Group C ( DRW) – Rs. 4000, Group D ( fixed pay) – Rs. 4000.
