Lawyers had few agitations against the Judge attack incident and placed 3 demands:

  1. To ensure independence of judiciary,
  2. To establish law & order,

It’s to be mentioned that few CPI-M cadres during All India Strike on 2nd September at Sabroom and also at Belonia, had attacked the Judges of both the SDJM courts and created violence at both of the places.

State law minister Tapan Chakroborty earlier told media that legal action needs to be taken against the picketers for unruly behaviour towards the court judge and police, but allegations are coming that police is involved to save the picketers anyhow. However, 4 of the accused, who allegely attacked Magistrate Saurabh Saha are in 14 days JC, and to be produced before the court on Setember 24.
