AGARTALA, September 20 (TIWN): Agitated vehicle drivers on Sunday protested in front of the Bardowali BOC (Rajdhani Petroleum) alleging sale of adulterated fuel in the outlet.

The vehicle drivers alleged that the diesel filled in the petrol bunk is adulterated and questioned the staff there.

The Auto drivers who expressed anguish suspecting adulteration later protested in front of the petrol pump in the morning and questioned the concern person in the pump.

The drivers rowed the vehicles, mostly the buses at the petrol pump. Therefore, no other vehicles running out of petrol or diesel are able to enter the pump.

However, the staffs over their left helpless and could not provide petrol or diesel to the customers.

Getting alarm about the situation, the A.D Nagar police rushed to the spot and interrogated about the incident. Though, there is no role of the police to be played as they do not have much knowledge about the identification of the adulterated fuel but as the situation was going out of control the police came to the spot.

The police further asked the authority of the petrol pump to examine the fuel. Later on, after the examination process the concern authority showed that there are no sign of adulterated fuel in the outlet.

Detailing about the incident it has been said that the drivers who have alleged about the sale of adulterated fuel at first registered complaint at the Battala syndicate.

However, resentment rose among the drivers, when the member of the syndicate called at the BOC and asked to come to check the adulterated fuel after they complained to them.

The protest has been initiated after the members of the BOC refused to come.

However, the drivers have withdrawn their protest after they got the assurance that A.D Nagar police informed about the adulterated fuel in the outlet to the SDM. Further, investigation will be done on this issue.
