Demands raised to stop the illegal recommendation of TPSC

AGARTALA, September 19 (TIWN): Demanding to stop the illegal and arbitrary recommendation against the posts of the ST reserved for the appointment of assistant professors in Government Degree colleges (Higher education) and for fresh recommendation to the ST reserved posts for assistant professors from the ST eligible candidates, the Students’ Community of Tripura belonging to ST placed memorandum to the Chairperson of Tripura public service Commission on Saturday.

They claimed that the recruitment process for the Assistant Professors in the colleges run by the State Government, declared by the TPSC on September 15, 2015 has appeared illegal and arbitrary. The advertisement for the recruitment is Advt.No.08/2014 (item no.-01)

Therefore, many of the eligible ST candidates were deprived from their legitimate rights claimed the ST Students’ Community of Tripura.

Besides, they have raised questions on how the TPSC has recommended the names of the candidates belonging to the UR category for the ST reserved posts during the recruitment process of Assistant Professor instead of the available eligible candidates from ST category for the concern post.

They further expressed agitation on why TPSC have shown its ill attitude to the eligible ST candidates despite being eligible for the post.

Therefore, they demanded to cancel the unfair recommendation and to end the problems at the earliest possible for smooth functioning of the education in the colleges by way of fresh recommendation to the posts from the eligible candidates belonging to the ST candidates.

The mentioned name of the students who were deprived from the their legitimate rights- Ratan Debbarma, the only eligible candidates from ST category to 10 number allocated reserved posts in the Bengali subject.

Besides, Mary Rupini one of the three eligible candidates for the subject English, Tapas Chakma, Biplab Chakma and Hamari Jamatia are three of the four eligible candidates from ST category in the subject of Political Science. For the Philosophy Jekap Halam and Jaharlal Debbarma were two of the four eligible candidates from ST category.
