Union HRD Minister leaves for Delhi

AGARTALA, Sept 19 (TIWN): Smriti Irani, Union HRD Ministers completes her 1 day visit in Tripura on Saturday. She left for Delhi at 10 am via Agartala Airport.

Before leaving the state, Minister had a meeting with Tripura Governor Tathagata Roy at the Governor House. Smirti Itani thanked all the officials, directors and Ministers for inviting her here in the state Tripura. At the Zonal Constitutional meeting held at Pragna Bhawan on Friday Irani seemed to be positive about the new education policy implementation.

On Friday, Union HRD Minister Smriti Irani arrived here at Agartala Airport at 9.30 am and directly visited NIT Agartala and met the students. Smriti Irani while delivering the speech declared that the central govt. would provide NIT an E-library for the sake of internet access to the students,  expectedly in the year 2016.

After a day long hectic activities union Minister met the state Chief Minister Manik Sarkar in a courtesy call and talked about different aspects of state education matters. However, no one was present in the CM’s office for briefing the meeting with the CM. Emerging out of the CM’s office Ms. Irani, when asked about the outcome of her meeting with NE ministers termed the meeting with NE education ministers and secretaries as positive.
