Udaipur, Sept 18 (TIWN):Many of the villages in the killa block of Gomati dist of Tripura still don’t have any connection of electricity and purified water. The block of killa has been declared as model blocks by the govt of Tripura.

Most of the peoples living in these villages are poor molsom peoples and farmers. They support ruling CPI-M party of the state.

One of these villages in this area is Khum Para which is about 10 km from killa. The village primary school remains closed for most of the days.mid day meal is out of question in this small village. Most of the teachers did not even attend school most of the days.

The primary health centre of the village also remains in the same condition. The state govt have always given them assurance of developing this village. But nothing has been done far for developing this village.

The people of the village are still hopeful that one day govt will start developing this village. It is hard to think that people in 21st  century still live without electricity and purified water. Let’s hope govt soon start developing this villages.
