AGARTALA, Sept 18 (TIWN): When Tripura is undergoing environmental threats due to excessive rubber plantation, to show the public an image of an environmental concerned govt., a workshop has been done on “Neem as a bio-pesticide and bio fertilizer for sustainable development’' at Agartala Press Club.
The programme has been inaugurated by science, technology and environment minister Bijita Nath. The programme was organized by of Biotecnology of Tripura in collaboration with Pesticide Formulation Technology of the Government of India.
The workshop stressed upon neem plantation and its impact on India culture.
“Neems is a part of Indian agriculture as it is the best natural bio-pesticide and plant fertiliser”, said dignitaries. They also highlighted on the need for adopting organic farming, which are very much necessary to save our future generation from the hazards due to excessive use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides but also to save the soil health to get better yield.
Hence it’s to be mentioned that whether Tripura’s environment is on the verge to loss its balance due to excessive rubber plantation, govt. is trying to bring another revolution of Neem production, quoting it a part of Indian Culture.However, govt. can also look after bamboo production which is also a part of state Tripura’s production.
