AGARTALA, Sept 17 (TIWN): Tripura University, a central University has put into much controversy after National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) visited Tripura University.

NAAC, ON Mondy had visited Tripura University to find out the administrative part and other sections, and found that except Physics Dept. only few other Dept.s are capable to be categorized into “A” grade. Their overall assessment showed that Tripura University’s many departments need to be progessed much and the matter hits when Jyotish Nath, Dean of Sanskrit Dept. raised question on the education system within the University including the Phd courses.

According to the reports Jyotish Nath on that meeting raised an issue how P.hd degrees are giving in Tripura University. In case of Phd degree and 10 crores of embezzlement had been done in the name of E-book. Sources said that after that meeting Prof. had been attacked verbally and also Physically.

However, after Jyotish Nath raised the issue criticism started against him. Talking to other officials (names to be hidden) he said Jyotish Nath was the University Dean earlier, but presently he had been removed from this post and to take revenge he had done this against Tripura University’s various departments. But sources said NAAC team appreciated his point and asked the dept.s to take care of these matters in future.
