AGARTALA, September 16 (TIWN): Speaking in a programme of Lachi Vocational Training Centre, recently Tribal Welfare Minister Aghore Debbarma said that State Government is taking all kind of initiatives through various schemes for the individuals, eager to lead a normal life.
Addressing at the programme at Tribal Welfare Department Conference hall, Minister Debbarma said that several training were conducted to help the youth who are willing to lead a normal life. Therefore, these initiatives are taken to make the youth self reliant.
He further said that all the youth who got the training should take a fruitful step to make use of the Government opportunities for these youth. The youth themselves will decide their fate as what they are going to do with the training, said Debbarma.
Stressing on the issue of self reliant, he said that the youth should determine on what they are going to do and how to make themselves self reliant.
Highlighting the issue of the development of the Tribal Area of the state, Minister Debbarma said that day by day the Tribal jumia families are also stepping ahead and concern for better education.
Altogether 26 people were given 18 months of Vocational Training. Among the 26 people, 18 were given training on tailoring; two were trained on computer skills and bike and the other 10 were given training on repairing of rickshaw.
Apart from these training, all the individuals were trained on driving and through this programme all of them were provided with driving license.
During the programme, Secretary of Tribal Welfare department L.H Darlong, SBSP Arindam Nath and others were present at the programme.
