KAMALPUR, September 16 (TIWN): The 48th Engineers’ Day on the 157th birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna M. Visvesvaraiya observed with great pomp and gaiety here at Kamalpur. The day was observed with different programs throughout the day.

The observation of the day started with the seat-and-draw competition in four groups in which huge number of children took part. Then a colorful rally was organized. A blood donation camp was also organized in which engineers of different department donated blood. MLA Bijoy Lakshmi Sinha inaugurated the program and Nagar Panchayat Chairperson Khana Das remained present as chief guest. In the evening a cultural program was held at Town Hall.

Commoners and the parents and students enthusiastically took part in that program.
