AGARTALA, September 15 (TIWN): In a bizarre incident, fire broke in to Agartala city centre after short circuit sparks from an Air Conditioner on Tuesday.

Initially, the staffs and the employees of the City Centre tried to douse the fire using extinguishers meanwhile the others employees informed the Fire brigades to bring the fire breakout under control.

Getting alarm about the incident, the Fire fighter thronged in to the City Centre and somehow managed to save the City Centre from outbreak of major fire.

The building was covered with fire smoke and firemen trying to ensure that fire should not spread other surrounding building.

Therefore, the shopping mall which is the hub of several other shops consist of both branded and non-branded goods including food stores, restaurants and many other fancy shop would have turned to ash, if the fire could not has brought under control on time.

Besides, the mall is situated on busy and crowded area of the linking road and with the fire broke out could have brought another distress to the capital.

Addressing the media, the Fire fights claimed that the fire could have turned into major outbreak. Therefore, the mall has narrowly escaped with the immediate step taken to bring the fire under control.

Reportedly, in the morning the customers and the employees got disrupted after smoke of short circuit spark spreads all over. Later, getting the fire sparks from short circuit the staffs and the employees tried to douse the fire using extinguishers as a preliminary step.

The fire fighter also said that there is no proper system for the fire emergency in the City Centre. They further said that to douse the fire it was really difficult for them.

However, they said that a proper system should be made for the Fire emergency otherwise in the long run if there is any kind of fire sparks than it will be a huge problem for the fire fighters to bring the fire under control.

The fire break out has shown an example that the shopping malls should have systematic fire exit including parking zone, lift system and many other essential facilities.
