AGARTALA, Sept 15 (TIWN): With hefty expense and drama, Tripura Govt. organizes awareness programmes with the sole goal to get media coverage of propaganda than the actual service. On Monday in an One day long awareness programme on ‘Protection of Child Rights’ held at Rabindra Bhavan, where the dais had been shared by many leading dignitaries like AMC Chairperson Prafullajit Sinha, Minister Bijita Nath, Women Commission Chairperson Purnima Roy,also CM’s wife Panchali Bhattacharjee herself, Minister Bijita Nath (also a former Rose Valley agent) blamed the Central Government for violating child-rights and reducing the allotment of the fund to the Aganwadi centres and the other organizations which are doing social work. But before blaming the centre baselessly , Ministers and inept CM’s wife do not even care to think for a minute whats going on with daily girl children rapes in Tripura, which are occuring before their eyes, and why Govt failing to stop it.The members of TWC are busy in organizing seminars and debates on 'Empowerment of Women' and claimed ‘child-rights’ to be monitored in the state. But the fact is opposite, everyday girl childs from the tender age of 4 yrs onwards are getting raped across Tripura.

On the month of June, 2015 Chairperson of Tripura Commission for Women Purnima Dey announced that crime against women and children has declined in state, also claimed TWC always beside the children who are victimized or in danger.

July 10, 2015: Four  child labours who had been working as handymen in trucks, found to work as labours for carrying sacks of rice at the go-down of Food Corporation of India (FCI), located at Chandrapur colony, under Udaipur Sub-division.Many such child-labourers who are being deprived from education and suffer from every day miseries can be found working in every shops, households, vehicle, and industries all over the state.

September 13, 2015: TIWN covered a story of a 8 years boy, student of class-3 student of Hirapur H S school who has two intimate friends: one is dendride, another is bidi.

Knowing very well that shops are selling illegal itmes to people including children, the police remain numb. Otherwise it’s not possible that in a market openly drugs are selling and police are unaware of it. Such is the condition an aware-state.

Moreover, minor girls are the most of the victims of the state. Everyday a minor girl is raped in state. Examples are many, which are unsolved cases:

1.     In month of May 2015 an incident occurred on at Hawai Bari GP when Tapas Das raped a minor girl near Tanghai bazaar.

2.     One minor girl aged around 12 years, at Champahaor bazar from by one Gautam Tanti (22), S/O Samaresh Tanti of the same place, obstructed her and forcefully took her to the nearby rubber plantation,  gagged and  raped her. Case registered, but no progress in investigation.

3.     In 2014, a 12 years old adopted of Subhas Samantha of Matabri area was raped by his neighbour Ratan Das's son Biswanath Das on the night of Laxmi Puja.

4.     One Bijendra Reang had raped three minor in a same day on August 16, 2015. But police has identified the minors belonging the age bar of 2-year old, 6-year and 7-year old.

5.     Another 80 years old man namely Mukoloti Kusum Das was arrested for allegedly raped a 10 years old girl in 2015 March at Udaipur, who was his students.

6.     5 years girl raped by a CPI (M) cadre in Gokulpur, Udaipur R F Tilla in month of July,2015.

However, one after another girl child rape incidents are happening and indeed the entire womanhood are now under serious threat in Tripura

Mysteriously in most of the cases Woman Commission and Child Rights commission and its members are having nice time in air-conditioned rooms and red beacon cars roaming from one programme to another promoting the state govt's CPI-M propaganda.

But children here whether girl or boy are in grave danger. Awareness camps though gets attention but has no value in reality.
