AGARTALA, Sept 13 (TIWN): Chief Minister Manik Sarkar few days back staged a drama in Assam .He acted as if he is the only ordinary Chief minister of the country. Train came to state many years back, but Sarkar did not travel by train here any day.He prefers copter. While in Assam, to grab national and public attention he boarded a train there. He tired to show how close is his connection with the grassroot people.

Sarkar went to Jorhat, Assam to attend the SFI state level conference.  It ‘s  a different  story that  in the neighbourng state,  communist have no existence. Sarkar by going there he tried to highlight himself very humble and ordinary person. But here in the state he never boarded a train.

Several times in various occasions he termed the train here as toy train. Whereas in Assam he boarded a three tier coach along with bodyguards. The act of Sarkar was nothing but a gimmick.

Recently Prime Minister Modi also travelled in a train few days back. While travelling Modi interacted with the passengers. Sakar also followed the foot step of Prime  Minister and had 8 hour train journey.     

Sarkar reached Jorhat   on Friday from Guwahati by the Intercity Express, accompanied by four security personnel, and left for the Circuit House in two vehicles provided by the district authorities. While speaking at the SFI event, Sarkar accused the Congress and BJP of trying to polarise voters in Assam and asked Assam to vote for a third alternative in the 2016 Assembly polls in the state. After the event Sarkar left Jorhat the same way – on a train.
