Despite measures by the Traffic Department, the flyover construction has become a nightmare for commuters due to frequent gridlocks near the construction site.
Residents and daily commuters have to go through severe traffic issues due to the flyover.
Ratna Bardhan, a resident of Joynagar said, “Traffic issues have increased considerably Battala to Bardawali. I think the traffic chaos is further aggravated because most of the vehicles ply from under the flyover. The authorities are least concerned about the plight of the people”
Abhay Chanda, a daily commuter said, “Since the construction of the flyover started, huge traffic jams can be seen at the spot.”
