KAILASHAHAR, September 11 (TIWN): In a bizarre incident, an auto driver was critically injured after drunk driver of Forest Department banged the auto from behind with his vehicle, when he was returning from the city on Thursday late night.

After the incident, the locals managed to caught hold of the accused driver and beaten him brutally. Later they have handed him over to the police.

Reportedly, the victim auto driver Rafi Miya has been referred to the GB Hospital after his condition turned down.

Detailing about the incident OC of Kailashahar Police Station Sabir Ahmed said that accused driver Putul Debnath is admitted at the RGM Hospital of Kailashahar after he was brutally beaten by the locals.

Enhancing about the issue, Ahmed said that the incident took place late night when auto driver Rafi Miya was returning from the city. When he was on his way drunk driver of Forest Department with vehicle bearing registration number (TR02-0938) banged the auto from behind.

After the bang the auto got collided. Besides, an 8-year child was also there inside the auto and who was also injured at the incident. The 8-year old girl has been identified as the daughter of the auto driver.

Besides, when the drunk driver of the Forest Department tried to flee from the spot, the local chased him and managed to caught hold of him and beaten him brutally.

The police rescued him and admitted the drunk driver at the RGM Hospital of Kailashahar.

However, the police is further investigating the case.
