UDAIPUR / AMARPUR, September 11 (TIWN): Demanding to recruit Science teachers at the School, along with 12-charter of demands students of Gamaria High School on Thursday staged road blockade at Udaipur-Amarpur road.
The school lacks sufficient number of benches which is creating problem for the students to continue the classes. Therefore, the students have demands to provide adequate number benches in the school.
They complained that the school has initiated Science course but it is sad to inform that despite of having science course the school does not have any science teachers. Besides, the school also lack subject teachers but till day no initiative has been taken to improve the condition of the school.
However, the school has all the electrical equipments but due to frequent power cuts the student has to continue their classes in scorching heat. They also demanded to for a play ground at the school.
Interestingly, MP Jitendra Choudhury was passing by the road where the students has blockade the road. Acting on the situation, MP Choudhury assured to look in to the matter and will see what he can do on this matter.
Besides, getting the assurance from MP the agitated students they withdrawn the blockade but within 15 min they again continued to stage road blockade.
Getting alarm, OC of Maharani Police Station Parimal Roy, OC of Radhakishore Pur Police Station Biddendu Roy, Pradhan of Uttar Maharani Gram Panchayat Jatan Bhowmik and other reached the spot and tried to bring the situation under control but the students demanded assurance from the concerned authority.
Getting assurance they finally have withdrawn the road blockade.
