KAILLASAHAR, September 9 (TIWN): After staging atleast 7 hours road blockade the Kailasahar Unnayan Mancha had called for a 12 hours strike in demand of renovation of Kailasahar-Kumarghat road which paralysed proper transportation system since 3 years back. The call has come up in view of getting an assurance from concerned administration.
The 7 hours road blockade had been staged on Tuesday where the Kailasahar Unnayan Mancha was in want of District Administration Mrinal Kanti Nath in spot assuring them for proper transportation facilities.
However, the Mancha had called for a strike on Wednesday from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm just because the DM avoided responding to their road blockade. Kailasahar SDM Ajit Shukla Das rushed to the spot but failed to make any assurance in regard of their demand.
According to the protestors Rs. 80 crore was sanctioned for the renovation of the road in the year 2013 and the BRO was inducted in the work but due to their negligence the road was left worst paralysing the transportation system so far.
