Agartala, August 25 (TIWN): CPI(M) is an anti – national party, works to weaken the democratic set up of the country, said senior congress leader and former chief minister Samir Ranjan Barman.
Criticising the CPI(M), Barman said during pre – independence period the party acted as an agent r for British, now they are agent of China and Pakistan. The party is now conspiring to destabilize the peace and amity of the country. He was speaking in a Block Congress programme at Bishalgarh on Sunday.
H e claimed that CPI(M) are against Muslim, they like to shed crocodile tear for them. The party is against all religion activities, whereas Muslim are highly religious. How can CPI(M) be well wisher of Muslms? It cannot be, said former chief minister.
CPI(M) every time win election by using the monetary and administrative machineries of the government said Barman, adding that funds are meant for developing the state whereas it is used as extensively ahead of any election in the state.
One burning example is that of Bishalgarh block, crores of money was diverted by Bhanu Lal to win the last assembly election claimed the senior congress leader.
Speaking on chit fund he said due to the blessing of CPI(M) it could flourish its business in the state. They are benefitted from various chit fund companies which fled away from the states duping thousands of investors.
Congress has been raising its voice against the chit funds and was demanding return of hard earned money invested by poor people in the state. Manik Sarkar himself openly campaigned in favour of chit fund companies.
