FB comment turned heavy on Deputy Magistrate of Khowai

AGARTALA, August 23 (TIWN): Face book comment against journalist now showing colours to the Deputy Magistrate of Khowai. Reportedly, Khowai Deputy Magistrate Pankaj Chakroborty has been alleged for putting bad comments and case has been registered for defaming Journalists by calling newspapers as “Toilet Paper”.

However, Tripura Journalists' Union have already an FIR against P. Chakroborty for his derogatory remarks against the media and journalists on Facebook.

Pranab Sarkar, Union Secretary lodged two separate complaints against Chakraborty. One complaint was lodged for calling newspapers 'toilet papers' and another for provoking people against the media.

According to the reports officials with the advise of Chakroborty bahved badly with Journalists.

According to Pranab Sarkar, Chakraborty had even advised a group of officials to misbehave with mediapersons when they went to meet the district magistrate on Friday seeking action against the erring official. "The journalists were asked why they wanted to meet the district magistrate. When they said that it was regarding a complaint against Chakraborty, some officials pushed and abused them," Sarkar alleged.

Asking the Chief secretary Y. P. Singh said the district magistrate has been asked to submit a detailed investigation report regarding the allegations leveled against Chakraborty. "If found him guilty, appropriate action will be taken against him for violation of service conduct rules," Singh said.
