Kailashahar: Farmers Corporation Samiti demands not to cancel the upcoming election

KAILASHAHAR, August 20 (TIWN): Demanding not to cancel the upcoming election of Tilla Bazaar Primary Farmers Corporation Samiti on Tuesday, 150 members of the Samiti placed deputation to Deputy Registrar of the Cooperative Department, confirmed a member of the committee on Wednesday.

They also placed deputation to the Election officers, who are appointed by the Cooperatives Department in the month of July.

Altogether there are four election officers for the upcoming election of the Tilla Bazaar Primary Farmers Corporation Samiti, namely Ranjit Reang, Amalendu Roy, Bhiman Sharma and Kartik Chandra Debnath.

It has mentioned that for the last 25-year no election has been conducted for the samiti. The members alleged that every time they ask for election in the samiti the Cooperative Department has somehow managed to cancel the election.

According to the official report, the election is going to be held on August 27.

The 400 members of the committee do not want to this upcoming election to cancel any way.

It has been mentioned that in the month of July a notice have been issued by the department for the upcoming election. However, 10 nomination forms have already been submitted.

However, according to the members every time the process of election gets started and due to some unknown reasons the election gets cancel.

Beside, the panchayat members also submitted memorandum so that this time the election do not get cancel in any way.

However, they alleged that the Cooperative department is led by the Left rule Government as for which may be the elections were being cancelled.

They further said that if this time the election get cancel than the District Congress would be bound to go for protest.
