AGARTALA, August 19 (TIWN): Inaugurating the photo exhibition on Wednesday at Rabindra Bhawan organized in the memory of late photo Journalist Rakesh Debnath’s, Chief Manik Sarkar praised the photo Journalists of Tripura and said that the skills of the photo journalist have developed in the state.
CM Manik Sarkar inaugurated the 3 day long photo exhibition which was organized in the memory of photo journalist late Rakesh Debnath to help the family members of Rakesh Debnath at Rabindra Bhawan.
Addressing the inauguration, CM Manik Sarkar also said that most of the photographers in Tripura are young and are very skilled photographers.
A photo speaks a thousand words and I wish maximum of the photos are sold in this exhibition, added Sarkar.
However, TIWN has already bought a picture from the exhibition and has extended a helping hand towards the family of Lt. Rakesh Debnath.
The teams of the photographers have decided that the money which will be collected from the exhibition cum sale will be deposited in the bank in the name of Lt. Rakesh’s daughter for her future.
Aiming to raise helping hand towards the family of photo journalist Late Rakesh Debnath, a team of photo journalist has organized a photo exhibition.
The photo exhibition will continue till August 21. Altogether 40 photos will be displayed in the exhibition.
The exhibition has been organized to help the family of the late photo journalist Rakesh Debnath. As he left behind his wife and daughter all alone in the world.
He was photo journalist of Bengali Daily Aajkal. He was 38 at the time of death and survived by his wife and 6 month old daughter.
Sources said that Rakesh fell ill after his meal in last night and started to vomit. But condition became serious due the cardiac arrest. The doctors declared him dead when he was shifted to AGMC hospital.
